Choose a website template

A useful starting point fits your real content and the visitor’s task, even after you replace all the demonstration photographs.

The short answer

Choose a structure that makes your offer understandable first. Then try your own headline, photographs and services. Consider colours and typefaces afterwards. An attractive demonstration becomes a useful template only when your actual content fits without artificial padding, awkward omissions or constant changes to the way you explain your work.

Compare the content you actually have

Before choosing, inventory the services you need to explain, the usable photographs you own and the questions the website must answer. A large image gallery needs different material from a business page built around a concise introduction and three clearly described services.

Treat demonstration content as a clue to the structure. Do not adopt it as your own promise. Experience statements, project descriptions and contact addresses need confirmed replacements.

Choose an appropriate reading sequence

Look at where visitors enter, when they encounter your services and how the page leads towards contact. A strongly visual portfolio may work when images explain the work. An advisory service may need a clear introduction, an explanation of the process and explicit boundaries sooner.

Compare no more than three serious candidates using identical content. This lets you judge their structure instead of comparing the appeal of unrelated sample photographs. A template labelled for another sector can still work when its sequence, text capacity and balance of images and explanation fit your story.

Fill one page with real material

Replace the main headline with your own sentence, add a genuine photograph and complete one service description. Check how the headline wraps and whether the picture communicates something relevant. A design shown with very short English words may need adjustment for your longer business name or terminology.

Remove empty sections instead of filling them with general sales language. Also test a long project name or a service that has no suitable photograph. A resilient choice stays understandable when your content differs from the demonstration, without forcing you to invent material simply to fill a layout.

Check the narrow-screen experience

Read your actual content on a phone. Can you understand the opening, use the menu and find the main action? Watch for text embedded in images, lengthy headings and photographs with their subject near an edge. These can behave differently when the available width becomes smaller.

A mobile preview helps identify problems, but walk through the important actions on a real device when possible. Repeat after substantial edits. A new headline, extra menu entry or replacement photograph can make a previously usable page harder to navigate, even when the overall template has not changed.

  • My real headline fits without losing meaning.
  • The structure supports the main visitor question.
  • Enough suitable images are available.
  • Contact and navigation remain usable on mobile.
  • Sample claims and empty sections are replaced.

Flova offers 114 designs: 108 included designs and six Signature designs with a design licence per website. Checkout currently operates in test mode.

Manual changes are free; successful saved AI commands use credits. Choose something you can finish with your available content as well as something you like. A template does not automatically add a shop, booking integration or contact form backend. Plan those functions separately if your visitors require them.

Frequently asked questions

Must I choose a template from my own sector?

No. Sector filters help you search, but your content and page tasks matter more. Test a candidate with actual text and images before deciding.

Does all the copy need to be final?

No, but use realistic headings and text lengths. Testing only short placeholders gives an unreliable impression of the finished page.
