Edit a website without AI credits

A small change does not always need another AI request. Edit content and design directly, then check the version you have saved.

By FlovaUpdated

The short answer

Manual editing in Flova uses 0 AI credits. Change existing content directly, save it and check the result. Use an AI command when you need a new generation or a substantial rewrite rather than a small correction.

Define the smallest useful change

Start with the problem a visitor encounters. An unclear opening sentence, an outdated telephone number or an overlong section does not usually require generating a whole new page. Write the intended result in one sentence and open the affected page. Separate content problems from layout problems: clearer wording may be enough. Keep verified business details nearby so that a quick edit does not introduce a new mistake about opening hours, service areas or what your offer actually includes.

Work in small batches

Edit the text first, then the image if needed, and finally the order of sections. This makes it easier to understand which action changed the result. Dragging sections is a manual edit and uses no AI credit. After each batch, check that the information visitors need still comes first. Give buttons labels that describe their destination. Then follow the links yourself: an accurate label cannot fix an incorrect address or a page that no longer exists.

  • Confirm the business name, address, hours and telephone number.
  • Use images only when you hold the necessary rights.
  • Open every changed button and navigation link.

Save a coherent revision

Seeing a change in the editor does not establish that it has been published. Use Save and wait for confirmation before moving to another screen. For a longer writing session, keep the original wording in your own working document so you can compare decisions. Give each round one objective, such as correcting contact information before rewriting services. That way, a successful improvement in one section does not hide an unfinished correction somewhere else on the site.

Check narrow and wide screens

Read the page as someone unfamiliar with your business. Does the heading fit comfortably on a phone? Does the action button follow the explanation a visitor needs? Look for long words, awkward image crops and unnecessary gaps. The editor interface is Dutch; websites can be built in 24 supported languages. Check translated business details individually. A correct English version does not establish that a French label, Dutch address description or translated appointment link is also correct.

  • Read the heading and first paragraph aloud.
  • Review section order on a narrow screen.
  • Check every language you intend to publish.

Reserve AI for a defined task

A substantial rewrite may help when your audience, offer or page structure changes. Explain the desired change and identify facts that must remain intact. A successful saved AI command costs one credit; subsequent manual corrections remain free. Publishing is a separate decision. In the current pilot, websites under /sites have noindex. Finishing a design in the builder therefore does not automatically create an indexable production website on your own domain. Confirm the deployment arrangement separately before announcing a launch.

Frequently asked questions

Does saving use an AI credit?

Manual edits and manual saving use no AI credits. One successful saved AI command uses one credit.

Will everyone immediately see my edit?

Check the saved version and publish deliberately. An edited draft does not establish that the intended live version is already public.
