Build a website with AI: what can Flova do today?

Flova is a website builder for freelancers and small businesses. Choose a template, discuss the design with AI and see your website beside the conversation. Make small changes directly. This guide explains when that approach fits and what the current pilot delivers.

A website builder or just an AI chat?

An AI conversation helps you develop ideas and copy. You still need to organise design, mobile layouts, pages, changes and publishing. Flova places the design beside the conversation so you can inspect the result and continue editing it yourself.

Use Flova for a compact business website when you want direct control. Choose specialist development for an online shop, complex booking system, inventory management or business software integration. Flova builds within its own controlled page structure; it does not automatically change your existing external website.

Start with your business and a clear brief.

Write down what you offer, who you serve and the action visitors should take. Collect real contact details, services and images you have permission to use. Then choose a template by style and industry. Your own content turns the starting point into a recognisable business website.

A useful brief is: “Create a website for my bicycle repair shop. Our customers live locally. The main action is booking a repair by phone. Use the opening hours and services below.” Supply facts you can check. Do not ask AI to invent reviews, qualifications or experience.

  • Choose one main action per page.
  • Use clear page names such as services, about and contact.
  • Check the design on a narrow mobile screen.
  • Replace example text, prices and photography before sharing.

When does a change use AI credits?

Manual editing uses no AI credits. Change copy, replace images, pick colours, reorder sections and restore versions yourself. Saving, downloading HTML and sharing a pilot version also use no AI credits.

One successful, saved AI request costs 1 credit. You can combine related changes in the same request. A failed request returns its reserved credit. The trial offers up to 3 starter credits under usage limits; opening a new tab or account does not create unlimited trials. Extra credit packs currently use test checkout without real charges.

What does publishing mean in the pilot?

Publishing deliberately shares a checked version at a temporary Flova address. It is useful for feedback but does not replace an agreed production website on your own domain. Pilot pages carry noindex. Later edits only change the shared copy after you publish again.

The ZIP contains all HTML pages and their internal links. Images and fonts still load online from Flova, so it is not a fully self-contained offline package. Check those dependencies before hosting the HTML elsewhere.

Without an account, access depends on this browser’s cookie for up to 30 days. Optional Google sign-in lets you confirm and link projects to your account, then recover them on other devices. Check that link before clearing browser cookies.

What does a website with Flova cost?

The builder and the 108 existing Basis and Studio templates remain included during the pilot. There are also 6 Signature designs with a one-time licence for one website, separate from AI credits and hosting. Both Signature checkout and extra credit purchases currently use test payments, with no real charge. Trial AI credits are limited.

A managed website is a separate proposal of €500 setup plus €49/month, excluding VAT. The proposed scope includes up to five pages in one language, a Flova template, hosting, SSL, one standard domain, technical maintenance, an agreed AI allowance and one correction round. Scope, term, domain, cancellation and transfer are agreed beforehand. Opening the builder does not start a subscription.

Can an AI website appear in Google and AI answers?

Search visibility needs accessible pages, useful original content, clear links and an indexable production site. Google requires no special AI markup. No score or citation is guaranteed.

OAI-SearchBot concerns ChatGPT search; GPTBot concerns potential model training. Flova pilot pages deliberately remain non-indexable.

After a real launch, check indexing in Search Console and measure performance with an actual Lighthouse or Marketingscan test. A built-in checklist is not a measured 100/100 score. Real examples and specific answers are more useful than dozens of nearly identical AI pages.

What should you check before launch?

A working design and a verified production website are separate milestones.

  • Content: services, prices, contact details, facts and image rights.
  • Use: navigation, phone links and the main contact action on desktop and mobile.
  • Access: the right domain, HTTPS and any necessary redirects.
  • Search: titles, descriptions, canonicals, sitemap and indexing choices.
  • Management: responsibility for domain, hosting, updates, privacy information and transfer.
  • Measurement: real technical test results and an agreed follow-up.
