Social media for translators in Belgium

Previous content, for reference

This page retains its original address. The social media examples below come from the previous version of Flova. Automatic publishing, subscriptions and stated results are not part of the current writing studio’s offer.

Good translations go unnoticed. Good translators do not.

For freelance translators, sworn translators and specialist language profiles. Flova writes posts about your working field, linguistic insights and practical information, and schedules them on LinkedIn where clients are active.

Common questions in your sector

  • Translators are invisible by the very nature of the work
  • AI translation tools dominate the conversation about quality
  • No time for marketing with deadlines piling up
  • Communicating your specialism without sounding boastful

Examples from the previous social media version

Sworn translation Dutch-French for a birth certificate: three working days, with legalisation via the FPS Justice if needed.
The difference between localising and translating, in one example: an English checkout button that must not become 'uitchecken' in Dutch.
Why a good medical translation costs more than a fast one, and what you gain: three costly errors I prevented for fellow translators last year.

Questions from the previous version

Does a freelance translator really need social media?

LinkedIn is often where B2B translation assignments begin. An active profile with regular content posts builds trust with translation agencies and direct clients.

Does this work for multiple language combinations?

Yes. Flova adjusts each post to highlight the relevant language combination. You can also publish in two languages simultaneously if your audience expects that.

Can Flova use my current translation assignments as content?

Only anonymised and on your own initiative. Confidentiality of translation work comes first. Flova does not suggest content based on what you are processing externally.

Today: explain your service clearly

Flova now helps you rewrite an existing service page. You check the source, add context and edit the proposal yourself. Flova does not publish to your website or social media accounts.

From social communication to your service page

Name the specific service this page describes. Start with your customers’ questions without adding unconfirmed facts or promises.

Explain who the service is for, how an enquiry works and what information you need. Mention an area only if you actually work there.

Choose a concrete next step supported by your website: contact, a quote request or an appointment. Check that the button leads to the right destination.
